Hi, I'm Juan García.

I like noticing the things everyone ends up accepting as “that's just how it's done,” and testing whether they can be done better.

I get involved, I watch how work actually happens, and when I find a useful way to improve something, I try to build it. Here are four real problems I learned to solve.

01 / 04 · Invoices

Do you get a lot of invoices, and entering them one by one still eats up time?

If you review invoices and then re-type the same information again, there's work that can be done ahead of time. I built a way to read them, check them, and leave them ready to enter, without removing the human review.

02 / 04 · Backup docs

Does putting together payment backup mean hunting down files one by one?

Before a payment is made, gathering the documentation behind it can take up another big chunk of time. I used the reference of each payment record to locate those documents, check them, and leave the backup ready.

03 / 04 · Payments

Do you process many payments? How do you avoid duplicates and incorrect data?

When many payments are prepared at once, a repeated reference or an incorrect detail can slip through unnoticed. I built a check that verifies each payment's information and holds the output while anything is left to fix.

04 / 04 · Emails

Do you send receipts to many suppliers? Do you still prepare each email separately?

After paying, you still had to prepare each email, find the recipient, and locate their file. I built a tool that links supplier, email, and document to prepare the notices from a single list.

You've seen what I've built. Now, a bit about me.

Outside of work.

I enjoy photography, going out on shoots, and public speaking. Things I enjoy — and I'm still practicing them too.
